How many stations in LA?

How many stations in Los Angeles depend on Westwood One for programming? I see shares in Westwood One are now trading for .18 a share. Is there any hope for Westwood One or is it doomed? What is it going to take to turn around this company? The management has just been rearanged but will it be enough to make a difference?

Leykis was one of the last W1 aired hanger ons around here until CBS scooped him up. I was looking for a NFL football sportscast just last week and couldn't find anything local on the dial. KLSX used to air the W1 Sunday triplecast of games but I guess negged on it this season and stuck with just Da Raidaaahs.

Not to get all Mary Turner, but off the record... you should sell any remaining stock you have in Westwood One.

That dog won't hunt.

There are many shows on different stations which are syndicated through Westwood One plus the Metro News and Traffic Services. I don't think that there is any station exclusively reliant on them here but their shows are scattered across the AM and FM dials locally. You can check their website though they still show Leykis on there but the rest should be fairly accurate.

I don’t see them going away, a lot of broadcast stocks are not doing so well but that is a large reason why Clear Channel chose to go private and got our just in the nick of time. The stock market is a lot of smoke and mirrors and when there is a panic the values drop drastically. Until there are serious reforms this will be the case. If you have any money to play with now would be the time to buy, while it is down, any stock of almost any company (Westwood One included) that has been around for a while.
