How many stations still have a live over night show?

I can think of 7. WBZ Boston WOR New YORK<home of syndicated Joey Reynolds> WFAN New York <Sports talk> WGN Chicago WCCO Minneapolis KOA Denver KGO San Francisco These are all 50kw powerhouses. Any others including less powerfull regional signals out there.

Re: How many live over night shows exist?

Are you including syndicated shows in this?

If so, count Jim Bohanon and George Noory.
If not, take off Joey Reynolds.

There are the truckers shows (syndicated) from WBAP and WLW.

Looking for overnight shows that are live and local or syndicated but originate from a local station not Premiere or Westwood One.

The Trucker's show originates from WLW and that is basically the only affiliate left. John and Jeff originate from KLSX's studios in LA and seem to project a local feel about them on the rest of the station.

Also, CBS Radio's Texas network produces Texas Overnights (or whatever it's called) from the same building as KRLD, where it airs. I suppose it's kind of local seeing that it's statwide syndication and can talk about state issues.

Peter Tilden is on KABC from 11pm-2am; the last hour or two qualifies for "overnights". I think Tom Parker, who has moved later and later and later on KPAM in Portland, is still on from 1-4am there. Is Gary Dickson still on KDKA - didn't the old host retire and they eventually went back to being local overnights?

Oh, and does KIRO's repeat of Dave Ross count? :)
