How much does Westwood pay for clearances?

What kind of cash does Westwood One pay for clearances of Dennis Miller? Is it worht it to a station to do it? I keep hearing about these "paid clearances", but what arethe actual numbers and what else do you have to run to get it?

They did/do the same with O'Reilly as well as some of the news product. I presume Salem, the biggest whores in broadcasting, are being well compensated for exacting a company-wide switch to Miller's show. When I spoke to the WW1 affil rep about putting O'Reilly on a new talk station we just acquired, he mentioned Miller, and I kind of wanted to ask why I would air a show for free that other people got paid for. :)

the type of "a hole" that would go on a message board and just make an assumption about a pay to play situation! only kidding....

I wonder if more stations ask that question when the way cash changes hands for each station is different. Glenn Beck's show is on XM Radio for free, and that's the competition.
