I liked hearing this song until I found out why.
I used to hear it all the time, and even though I don't like dogs, it's a good song.
But my Dial Global station has commercials for pet cremation, and that's what this turned out to be. The funeral home also does people cremation, which makes this and the other cutesy commercials kind of weird.
Especially after the funeral home burned. I would think they wouldn't want to call attention to cremation. Furthermore, there were two bodies and one set of ashes they weren't able to get out when the fire happened.
Still, the funeral home has been advertising "pre-needs" (planning in advance) and "pet needs". I wasn't aware the cremations were in a separate building. It was actually the furnace that started the fire. My first thought was the cremation facility, but I guess that would be better protected against burning down the whole building.
It was a nice modern-looking building. Their commercials are still running, both for cremations and for thanking people for their support of the funeral home in their time of need. This is important, of course. It's a small community station and there are plenty of advertisers that support such a station, but I was concerned how they'd be able to keep going. But they are, and the expense of advertising will be needed to reinforce that they will be back.
