How Much of a Raise??

Here is a question for everyone. I am in a market (almost the same size as Cincy) and am working on getting a raise. How much should i ask for? I know 3% is pretty average, but the morning show i am on has taken off (#1 with women and #3 with guys in our demo). When i started, we were in 4th place with women. What is an honest raise? I don't work for Clear Channel, and I know our company has money and the billing has been out the roof. I am the producer of the show.

Thanks.

Dude - sell your value!
Don't just settle for a specific percentage raise of 3% based on advice from some schmuck on this board who hates his or her job in radio.
List all of your accomplishments and align them to the accelerated improvement of the show and associated ratings/demographics. Position yourself as one of the "success enablers" of the station.
You can bet the sales guys are benefiting from your hard work so why don't you.
The real question to answer - is everything you have done WORTH only 3%....or more like 8%?
Ask high, sell your value and then in discussions with whomever work down the percentages from that point until you get to something agreeable.
Sieze the day!

Take whatever they'll give you and do it with a smile. But, make sure you get your share of the pizza and bagels that make they way into the station and now into your home fridg. If executed properly that can represent 2% to 7% of your income.

Genius, no, reality based, yes. In this industry and all it's problems one may want to take what one can unless one has a great back up. Companies are looking for reasons to reduce staff and streamline. Take the bagel and run!
