Gow has also signed a local marketing agreement that will run through the closing date of the sale. It goes into effect this Saturday, September 1st.

Curious if/when the AM and FM will start cross-promoting. Also when a possible rebranding might happen, although "ESPN 97-5" leaves no doubt.

Any change of the 97.5 call to KGOW-FM might not happen until the actual sale closes.

Actually heard them do it last night. Mentioned that KFNC was broadcasting the S.Carolina game last night and that their "partner" station 1560 was airing, I believe, the Michigan State game. First time I've personally heard mention of 1560 on 97.5, so it has begun. The only rebrand I could imagine is to start calling 97.5 "The Game", but not sure that will happen. KGOW-FM probably happens as you said once the LMA ends and David Gow has control of the station outright.
