How much will it cost?

We are considering building a nighttime DA for 630 kHz. We already have the property..so we wouldn't have land expense. The array would consist of three 300 ft towers, painted and with lights. Power would be 3KW. Would $300,000 cover the costs?

Have you had the engineering studies done to determine your pattern?
Are you willing to track down previously used towers and phasors?
How much sweat equity (moving, hauling, filing for licenses) are you willing to do?

The more of this you do, the less the project should cost.

Later . . . .

Do you have to clear and grade the ground? Install larger than normal footers for anchor points? Used towers (dismantle and re-erect)?

All of this is part of it, and cost vary greatly depending on everything involved. I can tell you that you may want to double that figure from experience. Also, remember that the plant is only as stable and dependable as you build it.

I agree. You should nearly double the cost. Towers could eat up over 100k easily. Ground system will be another huge expense.
Then there's the cost of the antenna phasing system, transmission lines, sampling lines, phase monitor, STL, remote control, audio processing and ATU's.
I won't even go into the engineering costs for system design and proofing.
You'll be lucky to build the place for 600k.
AM ain't cheap.
