How often is Larry King "Live"?

I heard that Larry King's interview with Lady GaGa that aired Tuesday night was taped last week. I know he does tape shows on occasion. But is this becoming an increasing trend for the show? I cannot recall the last time I heard him take viewer calls, either, but maybe it's because I rarely watch.

And his much publicized interview with LeBron James, scheduled for this Friday, also is pre-recorded (otherwise, why else would they not throw the "Cleveland has an edge in free agency" red meat to the sports media until then?) - and at his Akron-area mansion, no less.

In his defense, I have seen him live often during the 2008 Presidential campaign season, and even last year, when politics was a hot topic. I guess when it comes to celebrities appearing on the show "for the hour," it would be more comforting for some of them to agree to do them in advance, be it in L.A. at the CNN studio, or wherever; whereas if there was a newsworthy topic (and granted, if King was scheduled to host that night) Larry would not be expected to "phone it in," so to speak. Just my opinion... who shares it?

So near as I can tell, three times per week when they haul him out of the freezer
and hook-up the electrodes to him. :D

They should just call it the Larry King show.
Too bad he's not the type to have a live studio audience like AC 360.
(Was that just a one time thing or a regular Friday night thing now for AC 360?)

One other footnote, "Larry King Live" occasionally gets pre-empted by CNN Special Reports, and with his rating numbers down considerably, you know the program head of the network wants to make changes, Campbell Brown
has departed, John King won't be on much longer, and if Larry King were to retire, maybe what CNN should do is
put news on between 7pm and 10pm Eastern Time, there is no way they can overcome Fox News or even their
sister network HLN, which brings up this..., should CNN consider moving HLN's prime time lineup there?

Boy, the rumors have been running rampant, haven't they? First, George Lopez, then the "Price is Right" announcer, and now this... We know "JKUSA" isn't getting it done at 7 PM, but I would think CNN give the show just as they gave Campbell Brown time to find an audience... If anything, he can always go back to "State Of The Union" - then watch Candy Crowley pull a Conan and take a buyout, then end up on MSNBC...

CNN just can't hold on to talent lately, Lou Dobbs only doing radio and occasionally appearances on the Fox News Channel, Christine Amanpour is heading to ABC to do a new Sunday Show, as for Campbell Brown, could she return
to NBC or do her own production projects?, at the moment, the only well known names are Soledad O'Brien, John
Roberts(who should have succeeded Dan Rather at CBS) Larry King, and Anderson Cooper, who eventually could
go to CBS especially if they replace Katie Couric with him, or becomes a correspondant for "60 Minutes" full time,
so they have a lot of shoes to fill.
