How the mighty have fallen

At least "The Hoff" can say his career hasn't disappeared like Gary Coleman's.

If you could prove Hasselhoff was broke and practically begging for this role, then you could say he's 'fallen'. He's done bit parts in movies and shows, with several of them being self-parodying roles as himself.

This screams ratings stunt for TYTR way more than it does desperation by Hasselhoff.

Ah....the line between a D-lister and "fallen" is mighty thin.

Yeah, really. If you consider his two high profile TV roles - one in a series that brought world-wide fame, and success as a recording artist in Europe - Hasselhoff has enjoyed more fame and fortune than 99.5 percent of American will experience in their lifetimes.

Unless he's particularly bad at managing his own money, he doesn't need the Y&R role, he's just doing it for fun, or old times' sake.

James Franco did General Hospital recently did he not? Given the hefty number of former primetime stars on the remaining daytime soaps these days I don't see a problem, given Hasselhoff also was the show in the same role for seven years in the 80s.

If this is the case, how come we don't hear about Jack Wagner reprising his role on "General Hospital"? Certainly, he can't be more well off than "The Hoff" these days...

I'm sorry, I just can't get over the fact that the URL to the story ends with "Sbin"... ;D

Perhaps because he has a full time gig on Bold and the Beautiful?

Hoff owned a piece of Baywatch, which at one time was the most watched show IN THE WORLD (scary, huh?). Unless he was *really* careless with his money, he's doing ok.
