OMG 3G? that is your problem. I went through the Straight Talk prepaid phones that had 3G and tried to monitor my station using The Legacy Nobex app and I had the same issues till I went with a 4G prepaid plan. Stay away from the MVNO's especially TracFone related (ie Net10, PagePlus, Straight Talk, and the new Total mobile) all TracFone's using Verizon may be 4G phones but they are throttled down to almost 3G speed making them useless for Internet Radio. If you want an Internet Radio friendly smartphone get the Motorola Luge if your on a budget from Verizon. I've seen it on sale for as little as $50. It usually goes for $99 and its durable and works great for Internet Radio. Also you can pick up refurbished Galaxy S4's on Verizon for a little over $200 from time to time. If you go with a Galaxy s3 from Verizon make SURE its not the 3G only version. you can buy a used postpaid Galaxy s3, s4, s5 and put it on prepaid. Don't settle for useless 3G low end phones. Take it from someone who takes their Internet Radio seriously and who's went through his share of phones. Motorola Electrify is a nice phone too on US Cellular and so is the LG G2 which you can also get cheap for Verizon. Now another phone to avoid is ZTE I've had one go bad after the 15 days and was stuck minus $200 stick with flagship phones and you'll save money in the long run. Galaxy's and Motorola's are superior to any other brand.
