"How We Do (Party)" by Rita Ora

I keep hearing this song on the CHR stations in my home market of Grand Rapids. It seems like I've just started hearing it lately. I admit it's pretty catchy. Do other CHR's play this a lot? Is it on its way up or down the charts?

What does everyone think of it?

I didn't like it that much the first time I heard it but it's really grown on me. Its got a good beat and hook. Currently number 24 on billboard pop charts and climbing.

Are they playing the Notorious BIG version? Oddly, our dance leaning Hot 97.5 KMVA plays that version. Other stations normally only use that version in mixshows.

Back in February, I wasn't sure if the song was ever going to go anywhere, but then KZON just kept playing it once a week until it finally hit mixshows then eventually regular rotation on multiple stations...

The song sounds like something Ke$ha would have done. Speaking of Ke$ha, whatever happened to her?

Given how she was being played non-stop on radio in 2010 and 2011, we need a break for a while.

And hopefully a break that lasts forever....Chris Martin actually named Rita Ora as a personal favorite of his in a Twitter interview. Maybe that has helped this song out a bit.

Our local Hot AC still spins "TiK ToK" and "Your Love Is My Drug", but that's about all I hear. Her music was rather disposable.

I think she has a new album sometime this year. The way she described it, though, I don't know if it'll really make inroads at CHR.
