The best numbers that KMFR had at 104.1 (again this is 12+) were slightly above a 1.0 share (I want to say around a 1.3); so to date, the numbers 12+ were better than "Digital" has scored. I would imagine BMP will keep the Digital format; it apparently does very well in the Valley, although the success of "Recuerdo/La Preciosa" etc., may prove to be tempting. I don't know how close the 97.7 tower east of here is to completion (if it's even been constructed), but 97.7 (even as a rimshot) would be a great candidate for Recuerdo in San Antonio.

I'm on the fringe of KMFR's signal (both at 103.7 and 105.9); I do listen to them sometimes. The presentation is somewhat unique and the music selection isn't bad.

I believe David is right that Mighty Fine Rock did a little better than Digital, though it was still a piss poor showing. I'd have to think Barger said, "SUCKER!", after he sold 104.1 to BMP!

Speaking of Recuerdo, what's KCOR 1350 doing these days? Is it running talk/sports, simulcasting 95.1 or what? I know it did Recuerdo for awhile after 95.1 dropped it for Amor.

KCOR-FM signed on as "Recuerdo" when it upgraded and moved into the market in September 2000. It didn't do much in the ratings and lasted a year -- it became Spanish AC "Amor" the following September. Though, I may be remembering wrong, the previous "Recuerdo"'s oldies were older (more Spanish standards I suppose) than the what the current "Recuerdo/La Preciosa" clones are playing. I also wonder what they will do with KXTN 107.5. Since Tejano has died out, there's little new music to play.

I think it is carrying Univision's Spanish news/talk programming.

Actually, in its last trend, it hit a 4.2 12+ and was top 6 in the market.

Correct. It was "locally adapted" and swung old.

La Preciosa became nearly all regional Mexican since Jan 1, by the way.

It´s an oldies station for SA.

It is the affiliate for RadioCadena Univision, and is all talk with a few musical shows as part of the format.
