How well do you hear the following stations at night?

Well, I also was talking about logs in Bothell. WLS-never heard in Bellevue, but heard only one time in Bothell, also KTZN 550 that same night.

-crainbebo

The local 880 stick is just south of Bellevue. 10kw nights. Bothell is about 10-15 miles north of there.

I looked, and the 880 stick is near the I-90/I-405 intersection, only about 1.5 mi from me. KKNW and KXPA are in the same area.

from south of Pittsburgh, PA

530 RVCI - spotty, occasional, under splatter from nearby WWCS 540
640 KFI - never
730 XEX - once in awhile will catch a blip or two under local WPIT-AM (only 25 watts at night)
750 WSB - nightly catch, fairly strong
760 WJR - same as WSB, can get this one during the day too
850 KOA - never
870 WWL - fairly often, decent but not great
880 WCBS - nightly, pretty strong
890 WLS - same as WCBS
1000 KOMO - never, too close to Cleveland
1110 KFAB - never, just WBT

Here goes...

530 RVCI
640 KFI
730 XEX
750 WSB
760 WJR
850 KOA
870 WWL
880 WCBS
890 WLS
1000 KOMO
1110 KFAB

530-No, we have a TIS at that frequency
640-No, we have spaltter from KJSL
730-When our local goes off the air I can hear it.
750-Yes, I get it clearly.
760-Yes, comes in clearly at night.
850-When KFUO shuts down I can hear it clearly.
870-At night.
880-We have a local, WIJR on that frequency.
890-I can get this one during the day.
1000-I get WMVP, but not KOMO
1110-Get it at night.

I'm in Saint Peters,MO

From Manassas, VA,
530 RVCI, elevator music, moderate signal from Cuba
640 KFI never, even through I try to hear it, no luck, too far away
730 mess here, I don't think I have heard XSX
750 WSB pretty strong here at night
760 WJR strong
850 KOA, I heard it here once, farthest station I've heard so far
870 WWL moderate signal
880 WCBS only
890 WLS only
1000 KOMO, never, too far away, just WMVP
1110 KFAB, nope, just WBT

640 KFI not heard since WHLO, WOI, and CFMJ came on at night.
730 Numerous weak signals
750 WSB strong here at night, if you get a little ways away from WJR
760 WJR strong-local groundwave ~25 mV/m
850 KOA, used to hear more, WKNR usually heard day and night
870 WWL surprisingly strong signal
880 WCBS strong
890 WLS strong
1000 KOMO, never heard, WMVP maxes out about 10 mV/m skywave
1110 KFAB, rarely, usually WBT. WJML, WMBI during presunset period.

According to the FCC skywave prediction, using the geomagnetic midpoint latitUde, signals from the south (WSB, WWL, WBT) should be stronger than the same distance in the north.

Durham, North Carolina

530 RVCI- If this refers to Havana, CUba's Radio Relaxacion, it's listenable, but not extremely strong.

640 KFI- never

730 XEX- not sure, but I don;t think I've heard it here.

750 WSB-very strong and reliable signal here.

760 WJR-a regular catch, but varies in its strength.

850 KOA-_IDed it once, but nighttimes here are usually a somewhat listenable but weak signal from Raleigh's WKIX.

870 WWL-a regular here that's usually listenable, but doesn't boom in like WSB.

880 WCBS-a regular here thats usually fair to very strong, even when City Island antenna cohabitant WFAN 660 is not.

890 WLS-regular, but moderate to weak signal.

1000 KOMO-never, as we hear WMVP/Chicago here

1110 KFAB-never. it's either Charlotte's WBT or IBOC hiss from KMOX/St. Louis

30 miles north of Chicago:

530 RVCI- Never--I get the Canadian--weakly

640 KFI- used to get it, but WMFN kills it here.

730 XEX- used to get it, but haven't heard it in awhile

750 WSB- strong and dependable

760 WJR- weak days, strong nights

850 KOA- Good dependable signal every night.

870 WWL-solid & strong every night

880 WCBS-the strongest NYC station here

890 WLS-local

1000 KOMO-never, WMVP is local here

1110 mostly KFAB but I have caught WBT pre sunrise in fall & winter.

Boise, ID.

530 RVCI Elevator music there most nights. Weak.
640 KFI Good but SS station is under them all the time.
730 XEX Long time ago maybe in the '70s. BC & local dominate.
750 WSB Once or twice a year you can get a snipit of them.
760 WJR Last January they came up out of the mess with the Midnight Radio Network.
850 KOA Solid. HD shows KOA most nights. Occasional HD decode.
870 WWL Couple times a year they're on-top of the mess.
880 WCBS Not since the 1970s @ KRVN came on.
890 WLS Not much on 890 here (local is silent) so they show up regularly. Sometimes all alone.
1000 KOMO Weak but consistantly there.
1110 KFAB Good most nights. Expected since they shoot around 3700 mV/m/1km towards Boise.

40 Miles NW of Chicago

530 RVCI Turks and Caicos Islands: Not for years, now it's CIAO Brampton, ON or Radio Enciclopedia, Havana, Cuba
640 KFI Rarely, in the winter, pre-sunrise; as others have said: WMFN, WOI and sometimes WHLO or WCRV.
730 XEX Sometimes in the winter, otherwise WXMT Merrill, WI occasionally Can get XEX when XEW on 900 is coming in strong.
750 WSB An Okay signal, but used to be stronger (probably a similar situation to WLS with all the development around it's tower causing their signal to be degraded)
760 WJR Usually not bad.
850 KOA Used to be a better signal early evening, overnights an okay signal but a shadow of it's former self.
870 WWL Usually fairly reliable.
880 WCBS Most reliable of NYC signals here.
890 WLS Not as strong as 20 or more years ago. Similar reason as WSB's signal - development around transmitter tower. Sometimes
hear what I guess might be Cuba underneath WLS in the winter months.
1000 KOMO Never heard here, have heard XEOY Mexico, DF and KTOK Oklahoma City (when WMVP off air which is rare)
1110 KFAB Good signal after WMBI signs off and before going directional at night; decent in the pre-sunrise before WMBI signs on. At night hard to hear due to KMOX IBOC fuzz and WBT mixing in at times.

Amazing! Do you get a lot of interference from KXTG Portland and KOAL Price as well? I'd love to see your log!

A good null of KDXU is probably needed for WLS.

Do you get KBND Bend in the mess as well?

I live only a few miles away from Stormy, so what I get is essentially identical what he reported. I'd only add that I've heard R. Reloj under WWL a couple of times (much to my surprise). I've also heard CKAC and CKDM here on occasion on 730. 730 is a tough one in this neighborhood. Anything on that channel has to overcome loads of splatter from WGN.

750 New Reno station now domintes. You get a good auroral going and east-west paths happen.
890 Yes KDXU is there most night but conditions change. Don't have that good of signal anyway. Won't get into the WLS "bad signal" BS thing.
1110 KBND They are "normally" not there at night.

For Watertown, NY

530 RVCI I get CIAO from Toronto
640 KFI I get CFMJ from Toronto
730 XEX I get CKAC from Montreal
750 WSB 1-2 bars on the Sony
760 WJR 3 bars on the Sony
850 KOA A mix of a few northeastern stations
870 WWL I get WHCU from Ithaca, NY and WCBS IBOC, but have heard WWL in the background before
880 WCBS 3 bars on the Sony
890 WLS 1-2 bars on the Sony with WCBS IBOC
1000 KOMO I get WMVP Chicago
1110 KFAB I get WBT Charlotte

Regarding WLS' signal, living in the Chicago area I find their groundwave not as good as it use to be, but when I travel their skywave is still very effective.

Update on my early post--a very faint Spanish language station on 730 (XEX?) and Spanish tropical music on 750 under WSB at 5 AM EST.
