How well does KNTE and KXGJ travel to Houston?

Just wondering how well KNTE or KXGJ travels to Houston? Is it better or worse in a car downtown or can you even receive it? The main question is why would they turn on HD on those 2 stations? I bet Victoria can't even get the HD signal.

I'm in NW Harris County (Cy-Fair.) With little or no tropo enhancement, KNTE usually comes in at a listenable level, with a few dropouts when driving around. KXGJ is usually a lot weaker--it's there, but really not listenable.

When the tropo is rolling in, both stations can have very solid signals here. There are times, however, when there is no trace of KXGJ, and I hear either KAYD or KSAM-FM instead.

If KJOJ-FM 103.3 ever gets its CP constructed, I wouldn't be surprised for 96.9 and 103.3 to swap formats as it would give the Nortena format greater coverage on FM.

Both are receivable on a Pioneer supertuner 3D - both are spanish language so I never listen very long. I'd sure like to see contemporary Christian or oldies on 103.3

When LBI bought them they should of kept them the formats they were on. Now that KIXS downgraded they don't sound half way decent and the power is weak. I'm listening to KYKM more now than KIXS.
