How well is HD Doing in Houston?

Just wondering how well are the HD Radio sells going on in Houston? I fixed up a antenna for my first HD Radio that I had and brang it out to Lavaca county I can get Houston pretty well on HD now. It drops some but most of the time it's ok. I think if they increase the power I should have no trouble at all. Mega is sounding great in Austin on KBPA-HD2 I checked out Energy over the weekend its pretty good, but plays heavy in top 40.

HD Radio will never catch on .. in my opinion.

Everytime I go to a store that sells them, the displays that they have out never are operational. Why buy something like that?

My friend has one in his car, it sounds great but very few people have HD radios.

They need to go a different way on this I think. I believe it should be on a satellite form of radio, then it would be coast to coast, and would work in fringe areas. I think it would work out better that way. Just what I think.

I'm no expert, but if XM or Sirius were to start Satellite HD, then HD Radio is toast. HD radio needs another form of Digital broadcast IMO.

If one of them had the guts to do a free service then I think all of FM would be toast.

Don't see XM or Sirius giong free, unless they start a free version with ads.

With that in mind, that would be cool if cable was free. We have to sit through tons of commercials in between shows. I wouldn't mind paying for commercial free cable...or radio.
