Recently, Cheap Channel has made many changes in their overall leadership across the country. One interesting thing that I notice on the nationwide news board here is that C.C. has flipped one of their Seattle, washington stations to 60`s-70`s Oldies. They are ACTUALLY using the "Oldies 94??-something" branding in the stations name. This is striking to me because to my knowledge, CC got rid of calling most of their Oldies stations "Oldies" in about 2004. They went alot around the country to using names like "KOOL", "Cool", "Super Hits". etc... I think that it is interesting (and right) that they are going back to using the name OLDIES and flipping formats to Oldies. We really need an Oldies station in the Triad. Just for fun, which station here would they be more likely to flip to Oldies??? Is there any talk here about C.C. flipping one of their stations to Oldies? The Seattle move is a very interesting departure for them!
