How will Clear Channel changes affect the Triad market?

Recently, Cheap Channel has made many changes in their overall leadership across the country. One interesting thing that I notice on the nationwide news board here is that C.C. has flipped one of their Seattle, washington stations to 60`s-70`s Oldies. They are ACTUALLY using the "Oldies 94??-something" branding in the stations name. This is striking to me because to my knowledge, CC got rid of calling most of their Oldies stations "Oldies" in about 2004. They went alot around the country to using names like "KOOL", "Cool", "Super Hits". etc... I think that it is interesting (and right) that they are going back to using the name OLDIES and flipping formats to Oldies. We really need an Oldies station in the Triad. Just for fun, which station here would they be more likely to flip to Oldies??? Is there any talk here about C.C. flipping one of their stations to Oldies? The Seattle move is a very interesting departure for them!

GTAGO, for the love of God, please purchase an iPod and download a couple of Big Bopper tunes to satisfy your craving!

I love listening to WKIX-AM Channel 85 Oldies Radio. However, their signal here in Winston-Salem is VERY spotty, full of static and sometimes unable to pick up. This area needs our OWN Oldies station. I do think that it is very interesting that Cheap Cahnnel made the flip of one of their FM stations and branded it "Oldies 95". This is a real BIG shift for them! Like I said, C.C. has branded anything Oldies for years! The last I remember was "Real Oldies" in 202/2003. By late 2004, their killed the Oldies brand name at C.C. The new leadership there is making alot of changes.... One would have to say that it is more possible now (than in many years) that C.C. will change other stations in the US to Oldies.

??? How many more threads are we going to start about "Oldies" speculation!?
