HOW WILL WRKO SPIN DEVAL PATRICK'S 55% LEAD TO MUFFY'S 28% DISASTER

Well, Leominster Mayor Dean Mazzarella sandbag effort failed once this poster discovered that "Mazzi" was listed on Kerry Healey's Campaign website as a "strong supporter of Kerry Healey". Even Howie realized 'that dog won't hunt' and never mentioned it again. "Scooto" Miller has made a fool of himself in kissing the posterior of the Republicrat candidate for governor and his "DeVAL" attacks as the crazy righties like to call him are at the best empty loads and at worst code word bigotry.

So, with Deval Patrick something like 55% ahead in the latest poll and receiving very favorable ratings compared to Kerry Healey's one has to wonder was desparate broadcast efforts WRKO:
[W hite R epublicrats for K erry's O ffice] will attempt in the final weeks of the campaign.

This is yet another political commentary on a radio board.

How will liberal Democrats spin one-party rule when Gov. Patrick conspires with the boyos in the Legislature to raise taxes, give illegal immigrants drivers' licenses, hike fees, create bigger government, and continue the exodus of citizens to other states? More hacks, more cronies, the Dukak-o-rama will continue. Deval
Patrick: Very nice man. But not my choice for governor. (Moderator: I agree, this prob. belongs on Off the Air board)

I suggest WRKO should purposely refuse to run ads for Democratic candidates and deny themselves income. After all they are Republican radio, aren't they? Why will they be running ads for Patrick/Murray, etc.? Shouldn't they just run Republican advertising only? You say they want to make money, because they're--gasp--capitalists?
Oh okay.

PS--after her column in the Herald today, does this mean Margery Eagan is off Howie's Christmas card list? ;)

Since this poster would never buy that tabloid trash one wonder's what Margary said. Would think that Howie Carr is too cheap to send out Christmas cards.

Rich, as long as WRKO talks about the campaign on-air it belongs here.
Don't like it; don't read it.

She was taking apart, in that wonderful paper, what Howie said about Muffy. You can find the column at bostonherald.com and see for yourself, since I doubt you'd buy one. (I buy both the Globe and the Herald
daily.) Note that Margery is not so much taking apart Kerry H. as she's taking apart Howie C.

" It’s a nightmare. Howie, I know. All those Jamaica Plain moonbats back in the saddle. Oh, the gloating, the smirking! But get used to it. Their wings are flapping. Can’t you hear them?"

Howie probably recycles Christmas cards. Or, like me, he buys the "box of 20 for $3.99" at Walgreen's like I do.

Of course! Cassablanca (Paul) thinks he Knows EVERYTING. Didn't you know? He's the only person who KNOWS EVERYTHING. He's a genious political strategists, and genious TV programmer. His opinion IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS.

NOT!

My name isn't Rich jackass and this is a radio board. Discussions about the radio business, not politics. You listen to WRKO all the time, that's obvious, so rip apart their programming choices, methods etc. Don't violate the terms of service to forward your faux populist/leftist rhetoric.

Another good thread, thank you Casablanca and Raccoon. The most frightening thing about Eagen's column -
John McCain advertisement looks like a SEPARATED AT BIRTH: John McCain - Howie Carr. Since the essay was about Howie Carr - the first thought was that that was a photo of the RKO afternoon host.

Deval Patrick will make a good Governor. Perhaps the first out of the last 5 that will actually stay in office - not run around the country trying to be president, not give it to his Lt. Governor. How refreshing.

Because if they did that, you wouldn't have them to kick around anymore. Their license is in jeopardy if they take ads for one candidate and fail to take them for every other candidate for the same office. Further, they cannot refuse any advertising for candidates for federal office (which includes those running for House and Senate seats). It's the law. The fact that their programming amounts to in-kind advertising for a candidate is irrelevant in the eyes of the law, because a talk-show host touting a candidate does not meet the legal definition of a political ad.

>>Deval Patrick will make a good Governor.

..of another state.
Imagine if you will...(Twilight Zone music)
A state with two Republican Senators and 10 Representatives, all Republicans
A state with almost 90 per cent Republicans in the state legislature
A state with a Republican Governor, Lt. Governor, Treasurer, Auditor, Secratery of State,
and Attorney General
A state full of Republican hacks, cronies, overspending, backroom deals, waste and corruption

Now replace "Republican" with "Democratic" (as in a Gov. Patrick) and you will have just fallen into...
the Deval Zone. One party rule stinks, no matter who is in power!

Come 2016, Presidential Candidate Gov. Deval Patrick will pose in a tank, wearing a helmet, and talk about "The
Massachusetts Miracle" (with record-high budget deficits, prisoners who commit crimes while
on furloughs, and more voters exit the state)

You really need to work on your aggression and anger Richie.

Not the point, if you think you know who I am, just get it right. As for aggression, I'm not the guy who got canned by nuns for running my mouth.

Nuns? Nik what are you talking about. This poster has never worked for nuns. Your post in 'nunsense' ;)

As Ben Franklin said," The more he promoted his honesty, the faster I counted the silverware". Well, the more "Scooto" promoted his non bigotry against Deval Patrick the faster one changed the dial>'

Again, WRKO/Entercom sounds more and more like they are giving a non-reported gift-in-kind to the Healey for governor campaign on a daily basis. Too bad the return on their dollar will be dust in less than 45 days.

When Muffy Healey goes down to de-feet will Scooto's feet be soon out the door. A loser picks a loser.
