It was clear to anyone who watched the Fox 25 Gubernatorial Debate the Lt. Governor Kerry Healy fell on her well groomed and Talbot framed face tonight.

When the Green Party candidate, Grace Ross, is more articulate let alone Deval Patrick, it will be hard for WRKO talkers to spin the debate in her direction. But it will be fun to hear them try to turn her failure into a positive success.

Kerry Healy's body language was dismissive of all negative questions and she came off as not ready for prime time. Christy Mihos was able to challenge and ruffle her on questions that any seasoned politician would deflect with ease.

Without a doubt, Deval Patrick was the clear winner with his composed, calming and professional demeanor. As Ch. 7's Andy Hiller implied after the debate they will be weighing Deval Patrick's votes not counting them.

Time for Kerry Healy to make other plans. Hear that Macy's is looking for help.

I'm saying this as an observer, not a progressive. She is not photogenic - and she is pretty. She takes awful photos and is marginally better on camera. They are not grooming her well for this. She SOUNDED a lot better on the Howie Carr show than she looked or came across verbally on the newscasts later tonight. That's the real kiss of death - she looks awful in the soundbites/newsclips - the ones that are like an echo.

Patrick is very smooth. Everyone seems to agree that Howie Carr's friend Christy's Food Chain is a BIG lift to the Democratic party ALONG with us having a strong candidate. Kerry Healy has to remove me me Mehorse ...i mean Mihos first if she is going to have any chance.

just my opinion - but - wow - even Howie & the Repubs can feel this. No wonder Howie gave Kerry the airtime tonight over his friend. amazing. The Conservatives are scared on this one.

Healey's campaign will probably hire coaches to try to dramatically improve her public presence and performance. She will probably be heavily coached on demeanor, speech, elecution, tenor and tone of voice, delivery, inflections, body language, gestures, facial expressions, everything you can imagine. Watch for some superficial changes in her outward performance next time.

Anyone remember what a mess both Bushes were when they started their campaigns? Especially Bush Sr. As Reagan's VP, he was known as this nervous, shakey guy with a cracking voice. No one believed he could become President. By the time his campaign came around, he was almost a smooth operator due to coaching (though his opponent put America to sleep on his own whenever he spoke anyway). Dubya is a product of heavy coaching as well, though they can't seem to improve his grasp of the English language at times.

have 100 per cent control of the state, as Deval will be elected. Now I need to find a second and third job to be able to

Listening to Scott Allen Miller and he is blaming Christy Mihos for Muffy Healy's disasterous performance. So much for Conservative personal responsibility I guess.

Scotto has become a joke, but why am I not laughing?

Mitt's being a mormon will hurt him with the christian right of the party since they don't consider mormons true christians.
 
Healey was amateur hour last night and I understand that Casablanca is the moderator of this board but isn't this a political thread? The moderator won't even follow the guidelines of the board he's moderating.

It's a good question re: RKO, Mr. Casablanca.

John DePetro had a poll today that said 49 per cent called Kerry Healey the winner.

The Boston Herald had this poll

Christy Mihos 13 %

Deval Patrick 59 %

Kerry Healy 29%


Casablanca is correct that WRKO is spinning the disaster.
 
Yes, the Right Wing Nuts and bigots have to get used to Governor Deval Patrick !

Sometimes good guys do finish first.

'RKO isn't trying to spin Healey's performance. They're honest in saying that vendetta-driven Christy Mihos
is handing the election to the Democrats. One party state...just like Communism, Comrade! (And if it were a one party state with Republicans in charge it would be just as bad.

Left wing nuts and bigots are just as bad btw.
 
Wilber Romney has been a terrible Republicrat Governor and he has all but ignored his governess, Kerry Murphy Healy. Days after he became governor he started running for President and running around the country saying how bad Massachusetts is. Kerry Healy has done nothing as his Lt. Governess to deserve to move up.

Ready to have woman "elected" as Governor but this is not the person. Just like Hillary Rodham Clinton she is in a position because of her husband. Hillary road Bills coat tails into the limelight and Kerry Healy used her husband's millions. Neither were able to do it on their own.

Both are a throw back to the 50's and earlier when women made a fortune by marrying it.
 
I can't stand seeing her ads on TV, it makes her out as if she was born into tremendous poverty, then survived her father having a heart attack (I survived my father dying from a heart attack can I get something for that?), then "rose above the ashes" to become rich...they conveniently leave out she married the money, she didn't make it herself.
 
Romney (with much resistance from the Powers that Be) got to remove Billy Bulger and, later, Matt
Amorello. I think his Big Dig reaction was quite effective. And he could only do so much with a mostly
Dem legislature.
And yes, I'll admit that Healey made her money the old fashioned way: she married it.

Like some other Kerry we know.

Raccoon, all due respect, isn't the "other Kerry" a blueblood? He may have married into a LOT MORE $$$$$ (like close to a billion), but he wasn't going to be cutting store coupons with Bill Belichick's wife anytime prior to marrying Mrs. Katsup
