How would a Stock Market Collapse effect Radio??

Oil 112 dollars a barrel. American Dollar almost worthless. Bear Sterns bought for 2 cents on the dollar. Gold threw the roof. The Stock Markets falling bad.
Long term, will this dramatically affect radio? We've seen whats happened to Clear Channel and now CDL.

A market collapse would affect EVERYTHING. Next question  ;D
 
More synidicated shows. A lot more. If you think radio is a mess now,
just wait. Bush and his Oil buddies have ruined America.
The three that are running now are even worse. Why aren't people talking about this? ??? ??? ???

Probably because this is a RADIO board.
 
Mark, don't you think the economy affects we in radio? I owned a pretty good amount on 'cdl' and lost . Besides that; I don't want to lose my job because of the Stock Market.
Radio is a place were Financials are discussed. There are many 'Money ' type information and talk shows, in radio.
Thats the beauty of this 'radio' board. Many different topics are associated with radio. Wouldn't
you agree?

There's not going to be a stock market collapse. The sky isn't falling. It's a great time to buy.
 
We've seen what took place with Clear Channel, Citadel with their cutbacks,
and another company that may be going private.
Radio is changing, as i posted previously, and with our economy going in the
wrong direction, something has to give.
The question is, when?
 
Dj, I bet Dick Cheney knows. He runs the country. If Bush has his way,
Exxon will own all of us! :'(
 
Oh come on! President Bush has nothing to do with whats happening in radio! You guys are
WAY OUT! I don't understand why Radio talk shows aren't all over the economy issue. It's going to come and bite us, just watch.

We might actually have an economy, if all of our money wasn't being sent to the Middle East. Now, back to RADIO.
