Howard Garrett is Composted

Anyone have the dirt on Howard Garrett being off the air at WBAP? His weekend gardening shows have been planted there for many years.

He's no longer mentioned on the station website. He Probably got tired of the over selling of his show and not enough left for the show.

Perhaps he's been sleeping with the Fish..Emlusion, or even taking a "Living Earth Technologies" Dirt Nap ;)

Musta been one too many nights by the fire, tanking up on Garrett Juice toddies before bedtime.

Bet it was a contractural dispute. Hal and Company haven't done their "Natural Howard" bit in about two months, and supposedly no one at jock level was told why, just not to do it for now.

And now the classic "Natural" bits are missing from the WBAP website. Morons.

"Don't forget to FEEL the birds..."

UPDATE: Here's what Howard's website (dirtdoctor.com) sez:

"I am currently working on improving my radio broadcast, The Natural Way, to expand to other cities as the next step in converting the world to Organics. Please let me know if there is a radio station in your area that might be interested in broadcasting my program.
The shows will be live, but will also be recorded so you can listen to them at your convenience. Because of these improvements, I will not be heard on the radio this weekend. But, check back here regularly - some exciting announcements coming soon."

Truly, IMO, one of Hal and Company's best
bits ever. Sam From Sales is so tired and
old. Natural Howard added a new twist that
was just hilarious. Two of the best were
when Natural Howard talked to the real Howard,
and when Natural Howard was sun bathing "the
Natural Way" with a glass of Garrett juice in
the backyard. A shame Howard and the bit's
gone.

WBAP has planted Kevin McCarthy in his Saturday hour according to his website.
Probably just until they can find another mortage company to buy that hour.

Any word on why they don't do Tales of the Old West with Dusty Plains anymore? Did Stevens and Pruitt complain?
