Hello! This is my first attempt at this..so bear with me...thanks!
I need to know all that you know about a person named Howard Neimenz, I am not sure of this spelling...he was in the triad at WSJS/WTQR/the Planet?...anyway I just needed to know your experiences with him...I appreciate any help you can give me...

Your experience with Howard will be dictated by who you are, and how you work.

Simple: Work hard, no BS, Howard is a good boss
Dont work hard, apply BS, Howard will be an appropriate boss.

You generally know where you stand with Howard.

Personally, I would have no problem working with him again.

Thanks for the spelling...
My partner, thinks that the "sun rises and sets" with Howard...Just wanting to know what kind of "advice" he may be getting as to how to run a radio station...in other words does Howard know what he talking about or is he just blowin' in the wind...

This whole thread looks like a Bear Trap for Nemenz to expose someone on the board or play out one of his classic mind games. Nothing personal, but my advice is for no one to put down their opinion on the man here. Could come back to haunt you...

(now, maybe you could read a little something into that post)

IFB64 hit the nail on the head. I have worked w/ Howard and would jump at the chance to work w/ him again. I learned a lot from him and though no longer work together, still keep in touch. Howard hates nothing more than people who are dishonest or try to BS him. Be on the level and don't be afraid to stand up to him if he challenges you (you'd better be prepared to back up your argument intelligently, however, or you'll get blown out of the water...Howard's VERY smart!) and he'll respect the heck out of you.

 Why in the world would I be afraid of "Howie"..Anyway, anybody know what happened to the bog Las Vegas Deal he went out to do several years ago> Seems like he was gone for several years until he came back to the Triad!

I have been to Erie many times, and I have never met Howard. Although, I can see why Erie is called "The Mistake On The Lake" or sometimes it is called "Dreary Erie".

Getting back to Howard, I do not know him. ???

However, I do know Don (Imus) is not back in the Triangle as Ape Promised ;)

I heard Neimenz was traded to the Minnesota Vikings after he was slow to recover from the injury to his kicking leg.

;D However, I do know Don (Imus) is not back in the Triangle as Ape Promised

I didn't say "when Did I ? Keep your "britches On"

My husband worked for Howard years ago in WS. He thought Howard was tough but a brilliant broadcaster. One thing is for sure, Howard will either make you a great seller (spoken from my hubby's experience) or make you rethink your career choice - no in between. Serious applicants only, thin skinned sellers needn't apply.

The few times I met him he was cordial but you can tell he's a sharp business man. He was on top of his game with TQR back in the 90's but so much has changed in radio since that time. If you're getting him involved in a local station where he/you can make changes if necessary he's probably a great "consultant" for you. Big Box broadcasters :D may see him as a bit of a renegade and his methods a bit unorthodoxed by todays watered down standards.... But who said being a renegade is a bad thing?

Never worked with the man, but I know this. The best salespeople I ever worked with liked him...a lot. Not so good salespeople couldn't stand him. My impression, from what I've heard, is that he is very intelligent, really knows radio, and is fair. My only misgiving is that he had someone as Sales Manager (won't mention any names here) who was really terrible. I've heard numerous stories about what a complete jerk the Sales Manager was, but Howard let him stay. That part about Howard Nemenz bothers me. Some really good salespeople left their jobs because of that Sales Manager. Wonder if Howard has learned anything about Managers since then. Hmmmm....

Howard is a hands on broadcaster on both sides of the table programming and sales. He ran a great comapany for years. He made himself available to us everyweek for lunch to gripe, complain, praise and suggest. He left to go run the Las Vegas speedway, but came back a few years later to launch FM talk 101 (WZTK). He has a lot of family here. I learned a lot working for and with Howard. Would do it again if it was the right match.

Evidently you must be the Boss in the family! Why isn't your HUSBAND making this post instead of you?? Wouldn't you think, he would know a little more than you??? Sheesh..Your're all Nut's.. Who cares what Nemenz is doing.. In don't

BEAR TRAP! BEAR TRAP!

(although i do give howie credit for getting out of that piece o' crap called ZTK when he did; matter of fact, he got out of CC just before it turned to crap too; man has a gift for good exits)
