Damn, Howard. It's a wonder Moonves ever let this go to air. Howard totally laid into him. Wow.
______________

Howard may be banned from the CBS airwaves for life after this. I am also shocked that they didn't censor it. Howard Stern just called Les Moonves out.

On a lighter note...

...didnt Carrie Underwood look and sound terrific.

And she has been nominated (according to the American Idol website) for 4 Country Music Awards. Good for her.

Had to make an American Idol reference somewhere. Can't do anymore Ayla Brown updates on the Boston board since Ayla got voted off the island last week. I was suffering withdrawal sypmtoms. That's it, I'm going now. ;o)

Re: On a lighter note...

Um, this thread is about Letterman and Stern. Not everybody gives a crap about "American Idol", believe it or not. If you love the damn show so much, why weren't you watching Simon on Leno?
______________

I have yet to see one AI ep--doesn't even register on my applause meter one bit.

I missed the Stern Soapbox but saw clippies this morning and nearly got knocked to the floor. If anything beats the browbeating O'really got from Letterman the other night, last night would definitely be it.

On a realistic note

This is all hype, a fake feud to get attention for everyone concerned. It's obvious why the feud is good for Howard. Moonves seems to relish any kind of personal publicity. His predecessor Mel Karmazin now runs Sirius. Howard Stern is not the only former CBS/Westwood talent to go to Sirius. I would not be surprised to learn CBS has some kind of stake in Sirius.

Also notice Lettermen has used Moonves as a target, too. This, of course, is good for the show and good for CBS.

Re: On a realistic note

I was thinking the same thing it's just a PR stunt for Stern and CBS.
