Howard Stern criticzed for not helping show's engineer

Ah, the O&A Reddit! Ill still pay a visit and post occasionally. It is fun to see “pests” destroying the folks who once had them destroy rival radio shows.
Not to defend Stern, but there is a two-tier system over there from what folks have said. The “originals” and the “new hires”. Robin, Baba Booey, and Fred are the originals, having been with Howard since at least the WNNNBC days. The originals are apparently better compensated (Robin got a $100k Mercedes from Howard as a thank you gift) and can do little wrong in Howard’s eyes. Everyone else, while not chopped liver, are considered radio journeymen and are by and large treated like a replaceable commodity.
So, this really doesn’t surprise me. That being said, the fact that any O&A subreddit post makes it onto a respectable radio message board as news is more surprising. They’re stepping their game up over there
