It's true - he's made the list of 100 finalists for the new contest to co-host the show with Kelly Ripa:

If the "American Idol" judge job opportunity didn't interest him, I don't see how this gig will. Then again, it's not like the broadcast will conflict with his radio show - he could do this on one of his off days.
 
This won't interest Howard. Besides.. it conflicts with his schedule. I bet that Ryan Seacrest wins. He won't offend all those housewives in middle america. Most of them probably hate Howard. All close minded house frows who hate Stern. Bunch of soccer moms who really aren't known for being all that wild. Regis probably has the tamest audience in america. Seacrest will win because he's safe. That's just what the show wants.
