Howard & George Flowers (Howard 100 Newsman & former WGBB jock) talked up records this morning using the call letters of 1240 WGBB. Funny stuff.

That's the biggest audience WGBB has had in 25 years and it wasn't even WGBB.

You got that right. George hit the post! I believe Howard said WGBB had good jocks. I see George worked at WLIR, WGBB, WGLI, WCBS-FM & WABC.

George is said to be one of the good guys in the industry. He's got "da voice".

FYI I was driving to work on the Sunrise near Westhampton last Friday, listening to XM (which I have set to 88.5 a clear freq.) and got alot of noise. I turned off my XM and was listening to Howard Stern on Sirius. The Pirate was using a low powered transmitter because when the signal deteriorated it went fast! I haven't heard that pirate station since. It was amusing to hear that uncensored language on FM. Quality was excellent!

How far did you hear him? It could have been a Sirius user with an FM mutilator.

Maybe a mile. I was stuck in a traffic jam after a motorist was hit and killed when he exited his vehicle. All traffic was detoured onto the median. Since we were crawling I listened for about 10-15 minutes but in reality it wasn't very far from where I first caught the interference to my XM.

BTW what is an FM Mutilator?
