Howard Stern to leave soon!

My prediction is slowly coming to fruition. As I said before Howard Stern will be leaving Serrius/XM and announcing his SYNDICATION deal soon. Close sources say Howard is fed up with Mel's שקרים

Ah. Soooo...he's going to a syndicator?

What're they going to use for money?

Mel's lies? Really.

"The "King of All Media" says satellite radio "will survive"

The lure of satellite radio, and a paycheck of $100 million-per-year in cash and stock, led Howard Stern from terrestrial radio to Sirius. Now, as Sirius XM fights for its very survival, Stern says he isn’t worried. On his satellite radio show, Stern said “Everybody’s wondering about this whole bankruptcy thing with Sirius. I'm not concerned. I think satellite radio is great and will be a successful business and it will survive.” Stern added, “As long as someone is paying our salary, we're here and I believe we'll get paid and that satellite radio will be here.” Sirius XM, meanwhile, has $175 million of debt notes due next Tuesday, and another $350 million due in May, and not enough cash to pay them. Talks of a deal with Liberty Media are ongoing.

Howard Stern is an 800 lb man in a tiny rowboat with about 2 inches to go before water pours in over the side.

He may not be worried, as somone with so much blubber can float just fine.

Everybody else in the boat is worried, though.

Are you sure you mean Howard and not Artie Lange?

Of course I'm speaking metaphorically.

Seems if Howard were responsible he'd realize his deal is a major drag on the company and re-negotiate before his
salary sucks the last pennies out of satellite radio.

I don't think he has the motivation to deal with the FCC again and we can't be sure that he would be no.1 in the major markets if he came back to terrestial.

Wanted to see Chris Russo aka Mad Dog on Letterman last night. Guess you could say he had his tail between his legs. He, Stern and Scotty Farrell will be on the radio unemployment line. FOX news reported Sirrius owes close to a billion dollars. And it's due shortly. How are they going to pay Stern? Didn't he sign a 5 year deal for 500 million? Hope he had some clauses in that deal.

As I mentioned on the thread regarding Robin's latest outburst about certain "cowards"...nobody could be happier than me with Howard's upcoming change in media outlet. The way he turned his radio show into a five hour Sirius ad during his final months on air was absolutely shameless... Followed by his dramatic self deprecating, pompous parade to his big Sirius debut party. He made a complete joke out of himself...and he use to talk smack about Imus. Now he is going to return to the form of media he proclaimed would..."die without him." Hey Howard...just like the huge schnoz on your ugly mugg...radio has survived and the media you put all your eggs in...has fallen like your ratings did in your final months last time around. He better cut Robin and the rest of the dill holes loose before he makes the move...because if anyone pays him more than the going rate for an overnight jock in northern Montana...they are bigger fools than he is.

Last time I checked, Clear Channel and Cumulus weren't doing so well either. I think if Howard does bail and comes back to terrestrial radio he could help, if only for a little while. If Howard returns to his early to mid nineties form he can succeed. Knowing Howard, he could spin this in his favor by returning to old form, attacking his competition, bringing more revenue to whoever signs him, and claiming that he returned as radio's "savior". If Howard viewed this as a possibility, he could boost his already large ego by doing this. He pretends that Jay Leno's comments about irrelevance don't bother him, but I think they do.

Almaniac...what could Howard possibly do to infuse anything into the current terrestrial radio situation? He is a washed up shell of his former self...even the "king of all media" wasn't enough to save what is happening to Sirius. He sold out...once he signed that insane multi million dollar contract his show turned into a 5 hour advertisement for sirius radio and when he wasn't touting the future history he was about to write he was burying every single thing he possibly could about terrestrial radio and everyone in it. He predicted the doom of terrestrial radio...yet it never happened. He predicted the bright future of Sirius and the downfall of XM and yet it seems one will not survive without the other...and they may both end up going down the drain. Howard fooled a lot of people and burned a lot of bridges...but just like the "Opie and Anthony" XM/Terrestrial project "HE WILL FAIL". No matter where Howard ends up...he'll never fall flat on his face...that nose won't allow that to happen. Good riddance to him and all his chronies...may they end up doing overnights on some AM jazz station in Milwaukee.

What is with you and your obsession with the Stern Show? You sound bitter and washed up yourself. How's your show going? Who are you again?

Sirrius is DOOMED! That ticking time bomb is about to EXPLODE! Who in their right mind would pay one nickel to listen to RADIO. Someone with half a brain. I can think of a million more important things to spend my hard earned money on.
As a side note, what's even more laughable is how Stern enticed Chris Russo to discuss Mike Francesa's bad ratings on FAN. Earth to Madman Russo. Francesa has done better without you! And as far as 1050 WEPN ever catching "Mike'd Up
Francesa in that time slot.........FORGET ABOUT IT! EPN IS A JOKE! WMCA 570 AM has more listeners. Russo is going to be out of work soon. He'll be in good company
with Stern, Farrall etc.
This dog is going to have his tail between between his legs looking for his next radio gig. ;D

I don't see it. Where could Stern go? Clear Channel (don't they still owe him money)- no chance. CBS (they are killing off or have killed off all the FM Talkers)- I don't see how it would work. Citadel- Ummmm, no. Cumulus- Yeah right. There is one possibility. Stern starts his own syndication company. THAT is a big undertaking. Don't know that he has it in him.

Why not? Stern is a "Mr. Multi-Million Dollar Media Man" He can afford to start his own network. Hey, if he can afford to build a multi-million dollar palacial estate in the Hamptons, he can afford to start "The King Of All Media Radio Network"
Coming to a radio dial near you! ;D
