So what percentage of the Philadelphia radio population will tune in to Sirius tomorrow morning, be it for Howard or other programming on XM or Sirius? Is it more or less than 10%? Will that number go up as the year(s) go on? When does regular radio panic, or has the panic begun?

Personally, it seems the panic has begun, just read Preston and Steve's "Open letters to Howard Stern listeners" Its like they are begging and pleading for listeners to stay.

P&S are the #1 morning show in Philly... they don't need to beg and plead.

MMR did the same thing welcoming the listeners of Y100 after it was pulled off the air. It's a kind jesture, not begging.<P ID="signature">______________

Infinity/CBS has to do the begging. I have a feeling that the curiosity listeners tuning into Roth tomorrow will quickly change the station to something else.

To answer the original question, a few of my friends did get Sirius for Christmas. No one I know got XM. Only the hardcore Stern fans are going to spend $ on satellite right now, not people who usually listen to P&S or other Philly morning shows. Satellite will continue to grow. Sure there is concern among terrestrial radio folk, but I don't think the panic button has been pushed yet.

Howard Eskin moved to Sat Radio?
