Jocked at Q-102 and KZEW from 1978 through the early 1980s; also jocked at KILT-100 in Houston before it was a country station. Worked the old (and dearly missed) "Heart and Soul" format at Satellite Music Network, and was doing v/o's right up to his untimely death from a stroke at age 57 on June 14, 2009. Oh my. I remember Doug from "Loose Radio", WJBO-FM in Baton Rouge back in the mid 70's.
Yes, agreed, a great voice, and a great person. I recall he was a trained paramedic. He used to listen to the police scanners, and arrive at accidents before the ambulance, probably saving many lives. I wish someone could have saved his life.
