Howdy did indeed do middays on WFBM in the late 60's through the early 70's. My dad, George L. Davis, did midays on WFBM from approx '65 to '68, when Howdy took over the shift. He would substitute for Howdy from time to time, and I have some old airchecks...."George L. in for Howdy this week while he is on vacation", etc. After 1310 WIFE went through it's various format changes in the late 70's, early 80's (Top 40...Music You Grew Up With (AC)....All news....), he ended up at WMLF (later "WTUX") doing both an air shift and then morning sports with morning man Lou Sherman. I also remember him doing overnights at the second incarnation of Easy Listening WXTZ in 1994, this time at 93.9 FM. After WXTZ changed formats in early 1996, he went to work for 7 years at WXIR Love 98 as the news director, doing the "Wakeup" morning show with Steve White. He also did voiceover work for both Love 98 and sister station WBRI until the station was sold on June 30, 2003. A great guy and a great talent!
