HOWIE CARR A TOPIC OF DISCUSSION ON "BEAT THE PRESS"

C

Guest
Howie Carr and his alleged impending return to WRKO was the first item of discussion on Emily Rooney's "Beat The Press" tonight.
The usual panel were of the consensus that Carr would return to WRKO and that it would be a win-win for Carr and WRKO who would promote him as their "indentured servant". Doubt Howie would allow it and hope he will not.

Carr's lawyer was on a taped segment saying that the offer of first refusal was a non-compete clause under a different name which I believe it to be as well.

Would have been interesting if Rooney had discussed the judicial decision and whether or not Howie barrage of attacks on the courts system and the judges for more than 20 years prejudiced the deliberations. That seems like a given. But Rooney coped out.

As to WTKK 9y6.9 all predicted that Michael Graham would not last in morning drive and that he would be replaced by Don Imus as early as December 6 when Imus in The Morning starts up again.

Any coincidence that she arranged the segments so Carr was first, followed by an obesity study (in front of Callie Crosley)?

I do hope the Howie Carr Show with Howie Carr does return to WRKO soon, though the virtual Howie Carr on the WRKO website is pretty funny, my young children find it a total riot.. "Can you believe it... yeah..."..
