Howie Carr Attacks Former WRKO PD and Ex. Producer

Howie Carr brought back his "Death Pool" today and said that the former PD and his hand-picked Executive Producer stopped him from running it. Well, they were both "fired" Carr said and said that Carbery, the Executive Producer, was "as fat as Fatty Arbuckle."

Wonder what he will say about the new PD, Brian Whitmore, as Boston Morning tanks and the station's rating sing slowly into the sea.

Heard that too--is that true, that these guys prevented Howie from
doing a death pool? I know various regimes at WRKO either allowed
or didn't allow the "gay" soundcut (you know the one I mean).
We'll see how the morning show does...trying to be 'BZ at least in
the morning with news/interviews.<P ID="signature">______________

I have to agree with mgmt on the D***d S******S soundcut, being a gay guy, I did find it offensive, because it leads people to believe we're all in the back of movie theaters, or hiring escorts.
 
I think the old management was right that Howie's better when he's trying.

The death pool is pointless and stupid. I can't really see how it builds audience.

Yeah...because it's "lowest common denominator" radio. It's shock for shock's sake. Not incredibly creative. Nor really entertaining. Bully radio. But that's what Howie does. He's apparently very good at it, or he wouldn't have made such a name for himself.

Howie might be well-suited to google "Alan Berg."

Howie hasn't missed a meal in a while. Ask him how many cupcakes he snags during the corporate "cupcake day" each month.
