Howie Carr coming back to WVMT

Best news I've heard all day, Howie Carr coming back to WVMT starting next week !!

Was just about to post this--heard Howie mention it. It got taken off when the rate increased, and Howie
had said that he was going to try and get WVMT back on board. Apparently they're running Jerry Doyle
now in that slot (it'll be 4-7 pm not 3-6); not sure what will become of Jerry's show...

well, good to know if I'm up in that area on a weekday (and in about 2 weeks I just may be) I can tune in
Howie on 620!

DING DING DING. I should've known that without asking. The guy legitimately makes programming decisions based on what it will cost him to air something. What a joker.

Good to hear Howie again on WVMT though they are blowing off the first hour, and carrying the 'local Boston hour' from 6 to 7. People in Burlington will certainly know more about "Mumbles" than ever before. There were tons of calls from the market, sounds like listeners were psyched he's back.. If he's yanked again, all I can say is "How many more Mr. Speakah, how many more''....

if Burlington is like many other New England locales of late, then the transplanted population will no doubt enjoy Howie's show as an occasional "sound from home." i know many who go out of their way to buy the Herald to read his columns (specifically) as a way to keep up on some the Mass antics, and these same folks lament the lack of "the local hour" in the Portland area. some of us will deal with static from 680 in order to catch some or all of the last hour.
