Unless you have specific information that this is the case, perhaps we shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. I'd bet that the show's syndication to other New England markets (in some form) was part of this deal. It's a morning show and that may well hamper syndication....then again it may not.

Howie is pretty popular in Maine, so I find it hard to believe that he would leave that entire audience on the table. It means money and we all know how Howie is with money. ;)

If Howie gets the WTKK morning duty, does that mean 'TKK has given up waiting to see if the "I-man" is returning to the air?

Re: Howie Carr leaves WGAN...& WVMT & WNTK & WKBK & WHYN & More..

Wow, after Howie came back to WVMT for the 3rd or 4th time. I would hope that if he goes to WTKK for morning duty, the show gets syndicated. Having the Captain on in mornings would be great and would totally fill a huge, and I mean huge void since the I-Man left the airwaves in April.

I heard Charley and Ernie on this afternoon… But that might have been because they lost satilite reception during the thunderstorm

Howie in the Morning would serve that void to capture any former Imus listeners, since nothing in the morning has even come close to reaching out to those core listeners. There's lots of great morning shows out there, though just like Stern to a smaller degree, where have all those listeners gone to ?

For underminer....

Afternoon Drive is the EXACT TIME FRAME I was thinking of for the format I have in mind.

It would be different from what Howie is doing at the moment, but it's a subject that practically everybody can relate to. And yes...I would take phone calls in addition to having special guests on board! ;)

argytunes.

Speaking about VMT does anyone know what’s going on over there? I was just driving and hoped to hear The Dennis Miller Show (which I think is a good listen) and they had some lameo all news network on – The USA Radio Network. I hope the haven’t canned Miller. Hopefully they hare having trouble with their satellite reception on account of the thick sky..

Thanks for the update RV
