Howie Carr program in Calif.

8) I grew up in Everett, Mass. (now in CA) and have enjoyed listening to Howie at noon Pacific time on the computer on WRKO.
Every weekday we listen while in the pool. Love hearing "the accent" like my own from the callers.
Now I hear he is moving to the morning drive time 5:30AM Eastern on WTKK, that is 2:30AM out here. Somehow I,ve got to figure out how to record the program while it's on. Any hints on how that is done would be appriciated.

http://www.wtkk.com they stream
(first the legal matters have to be settled--unknown as of yet when he will start at 96.9)

now:

you could try something called Audio Record Wizard 3 (http://www.nowsmart.com/arwizard/index.html ) for $25 though
Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) might be able to do it for free.
In ARW 3, set the timer for the show time (Eastern) and select "Wave Out Mix" which records
whatever the output of your comp. audio is. Save as mp3 file and listen on your mp3 player

Trial version of ARW3 only gives you 3 minutes but you could download and give it a try and see
if you wish to pay for full version.

For a few weeks a few years ago Howie was on KFI in L.A. via ISDN line. (he'd to the show on Saturdays)

I would add that if you record the whole show but want to cut it into smaller bits you can do so with
a free program called mp3 Direct Cut
