When Berg's shop was shut down first a couple yrs back he said he wasn't sure why, then I think the allegations about illegal aliens came out and it was "Berg denies it's true" (at the same time there were busts of restaurants, etc, employing illegal aliens...such as one in Portland not far from the Motel 6 where I stayed one weekend). Now the pot farm was discovered in '09 and it's only now that the arrests are coming ("Township 37" is apparently way up there near Lubec and Machias). You got him doing shirts with unauthorized pro team logos, plus the pot growing, and also using illegal
aliens. And since some of the shirts poked fun at Uncle Omar & Auntie Zeituni and other illegal
(oops, they got permission to stay) aliens, it does seem a bit hypocritical! I only heard parts of
yesterday's show and didn't hear any reference.
As Berg's site says it all started when a friend (who also has been arrested) suggested something related to the daisy cutter bombs they were thinking of using in the Middle East--he printed up some shirts and gave them to Howie and later began selling items. (One shirt now discontinued
read "Scott Brown for President"/"I Like Scott". Berg sold caps saying "Brown 41" referring to the "41st vote against Obamacare"...and I have one. It was a gift from a co-worker.
And yes the fact that illegal aliens are involved (see above, T shirts) is embarrassing for Howie and charges of hypocrisy fly. Howie does indeed call him a friend as said above, and there is that pic. BlueMassGroup will probably have fun with this (remember the poster who calls himself ErnieBochIII?)
