How's come none of us (some who have spent 25 years plus in the Altoona market, don't remember and/or can't recall this Clangham guy who claims to have worked at about every station in the market in addition to having every title in the book at these facilities not to mention his business ventures? How could one person work at this many places in one market and have so many titles yet none of us remember!
Gee Puffer, you visited a few times while I was there over at the Q when you were thinking about working for Ed back in 89. I was there with Neil and Ed getting the automation system in order, which never happened due to me getting in a car accident and being laid up for awhile, but I actually consulted Ed from my hospital bed. Q is where we met.
I am sure you would remember me. Hard to forget. LOL
BTW, if you ever bought a nightie for your girlfriend or some police goods for a fellow officer, you probably shopped at one of my stores.
Last year in radio was 89, and clangham is my first initial/last name is my last name. Anyone in radio back around 84-89 can tell you.
And if you ever saw a silver or beige Mercedes blowing around in Altoona when I lived there with the plate CHUCKII or IICHUCK that was me.
I remember you telling me at one point that WHPA was looking into changing their call letters to something like WALI so that WHPA would become WALI 104 (or something along those lines). I told our GM and they had their lawyers all over that. I remember the GM calling me into the office to tell me to "tell your buddy that the company spent money to have the lawyers tell them it wasn't happening!"
Speaking of Leberfinger.....HATS OFF! At last check the man has shed 87 pounds from his frame, and looks well on his way to the goal of 150 pounds off. Great Job!
