How's HD Radio doing?

I went to Circut City in Charleston tonight and looked at the car stereos with HD radio. For fun I called the sales kid over and asked him about HD radio, he showed me the the one car stereo that had the HD hooked up. I was impressed that he knew about HD radio and showed me how to scan through the channels. He said that there really wasnt too much in the way of HD radio in Charleston. I scanned thru, it picked up 4 HD stations, all CC. one a blugrass, another I think was some type of R&B, the Alt rocker was the side channel on Q104. the last one I forgot...no side channel picked up on 100.5, but I ve heard there is one...kinda dug the HD cause it was somthing new and Im a radio geek. I listened for a couple songs. I need a new car stereo so I guess i ll get one. $150 with the HD built in, installed. Not a bad deal. JVC I think.

Would have bought it tonight but I had to pick up my new laptop. But def by the new year...just hope that Alt station is still there!
