H'ppy B'rthday KT'R

On June 21, 1922 radio station KFAD--which evolved into the
present-day KTAR--first fired up its transmitter. 100 watts on 833 kc.

I wonder if their 1920s-era PM drive voice intoned it as KF'D?

So if top 40-era DJ Bob Dayton was still around, I'm sure he'd
give a spin of "Sixteen Candles" by the Crests in honor of KT'R.
(Hopefully you older posters on the Tanim Board will get the reference.)

While Dayton's set-up was politically incorrect, it was funny nonetheless. Too bad Rick Sklar was such an uptight guy! BTW...anyone know what the WABC chimetime is? ;D

From the Middle Eastern Men of The Media, Happy Birthday to KT'R. Remember - you're only as old as you sound
