Huckabee giving up radio talk show...??

Cumulus thought Mike Huckabee would be their answer to Rush, and they wouldn't have to pay Rush's big fees. But Huckabee has pretty much been a bust. And with the way Lew Dickey has been talking to the press, I wouldn't be surprised if Cumulus stations dropped Rush when his contract expires. We certainly know Rush will be leaving WABC-AM, the Cumulus talk station in New York, because Clear Channel bought a station to put him on, WOR.

Could this lead to a Savage verses Rush?
What time is Savage's show live? I thought it was noon-3p PT, which equates to 3-6p ET.

Limbaugh's days are numbered too!
Like him or not, but people have been saying that for almost 2 decades now.

May be, but there will be the spokesman (it will be a man, females need not apply) for the "one percent".
(I'll ignore your politics.)

Laura Ingraham would have to up her game but she could do it. She's always struck me as "light" in terms of substance. But if Herman Cain can do it...and if Hannity can do it (Sean got a lot less substantial IMO when he went from WGST to syndication)...

I need to sit down and give Monica Perez a listen sometime and see if she's any good.

On a different subject, how are Glenn Beck's new libertarian leanings comparing (in terms of stations carrying him) to Herman Cain as the drop-in replacement for Boortz? Frankly, what Glenn Beck is doing seems to be a bald-faced attempt to go after Boortz listeners and I was wondering how that is working out.

This Democrat guy loves Monica Perez! She's respectful, and her social views aren't that far off from my own.

A new name to me. I shall have to track down her broadcast and see what she does.

Like a female Boortz, just not with the same personality.

I'm sorry. I can't wrap my mind around a female version of Boortz. And I didn't know there was anything other than his self-proclaimed personality dis-order that constituted Boortz. So how could anyone be LIKE Boortz... male or female... and yet have a different personality.

Now you do have my curiosity awake. O.K. Google, go find this Monica Perez for me. This has to be an interesting encounter.

Ooooooooh-Ke.

I went.

I looked.

I listened.

I trembled.

I went and washed my hands.

Yeah. I can see how you could leap to some idea how she is something of an echo of Boortz.

I'm trying to figure out what she would talk about if she had three hours a day, five days a week, and come to about the third or fourth week. Now where does she go?

But I am equally as puzzled about YOUR post.

You say you are a Democrat. And you are "pimping" for this talk show person who is so far out there that she sees Rand Paul and Bill Kristol as Neo-Conservatives who in her view are LEFTISTS?

And she proudly describes herself as an anarchist?

I've attended a Democratic event or two. Even my limited and ruptured brain cannot visualize a Democrat holding hands with Monica Perez and skipping down the sidewalk together singing "Fly's in the buttermilk, Shoo, fly, shoo, Skip to my Lou, my darlin'."

I think I will go and wash my hands again. ;D
