This is to my humble opinion that you've heard the news that Michael Jackson has died, and all the radio stations across the country played all of MJ's songs where they paid tribute to him. WHUD plays a specific Michael Jackson song here or there, WRNQ's "Lite-FM" plays a little or none of MJ songs except on Saturday nights where they play a certain song by Michael Jackson during "Studio 92" which will be on tomorrow, WPKF's "Kiss-FM" plays a bit of Michael Jackson, and also "Mix 97.7" will also be playing a little bit of Michael Jackson as well as "Star 93.3" and others. WBPM does not play any Michael Jackson songs except "Thriller", because it's a classic rock station and it's still going after WPDH, no question about it. No MJ on WBPM. Other stations like WVOS-FM and WZCR's "Cruisin' 93.5" will also be playing nothing but the Jackson 5 or Michael Jackson.
I do remember a long time ago that WBPM's original B94 and WSPK's K104 played any Michael Jackson song like "Black or White", "Remember the Time", "You Are Not Alone", "You Will Be There" (from "Free Willy") and a few others from back in the 90's when it was on two top 40 stations like K104 and WBPM's original B94, when it was the Gene and Robert Maxwell's station at the time. By the time B94 ended 10 years ago, they played "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" by Michael Jackson over and over and over again until "Rhythm 94.3" came on and it was a great station. They usually played an occassional Michael Jackson song or a Jackson 5 song here or there until the station ended in 2001. By the time "Cool 92.9" was an oldies/greatest hits station from 2004 until 2007, they played the Jackson 5 as well.
These stations bring back memories of listening to Michael Jackson on different stations in the HV listening area. Any thoughts,
