Huge duct open between Jackson and Houston now

Seems like the FM/TV DX picks up a little when strong storms move through, and yesterday's was a doozy. Around 4:30 this morning I was getting WREC-DT rock solid down in Grenada with just a TV-top antenna up in the attic. Also got WFIQ-DT from Florence, Al for a short time as well as some unidentifiable analog on channels 2 and 16. WPXX analog on 50 was running a DTV loop in Spanish around 5 and looked decent, too, but no digital lock.

For several weeks now I have been plagued by an interfering station on WJXN-FM, (k-love) out of Jackson. The interfering station is out of Selma. Ala. (WALX). I wondered what type of interference I would run into in Forest. I went and rescanned my converter box on my TV and it turned out I got a system boosted WMDN and WGBC out of Meridian. And this is on an amplified VHF-UHF signal with a 15 DB antenna booster. I guess If I got an outside antenna I would get these stations regularly.

This morning, while driving down Lakeland Drive, KQID and KRRV from Alexandria were coming in very strong. KQID has been able to come into Jackson every since WYAB signed off of 93.1 and moved to 103.9, but even now is a little stronger than normal.

over the last several mornings I've picked up the following TV stations with an outside antenna in Rankin County. Not all at once, some lasting only a few minutes before fading out

Dallas: KDFW, KDTN, KPXD, KFWD, KTAQ, KDAF, KMPX, KUVN, KERA,
Irving, TX: KDTX, KSTR
Monroe, LA: KARD, KNOE, KLTM
Shreveport: KSLA, KLTS, KTBS
Texarkana: KTAL
Tyler, TX: KETK, KLPN
Longwiew, TX: KFXK
