Was just listening to hams on 20 meters when, in less than a minute, the entire band went dead. X (Twitter) now abuzz with reports of a huge solar flare affecting communications worldwide. Any other reports?

I was listening on a Web SDR just north of Salt Lake City. Everything seems back to normal now.I'm picking up the usual shortwave stuff in Maryland, broadcast and ham.

That's how the World ended in "Beneath The Planet of The Apes". End Times are full of surprises...😑
The effects didn't last very long. It was the sudden onset that made them notable. I was listening to two amateur operators in conversation, one in the US and the other in Italy, and they went from solid reception at both ends (and at mine) to weak "Where did you go?" and "Can you hear me?" in less than a minute before disappearing completely as the entire 20 meter band went silent. I checked a couple of other bands and they were dead, too.SW and MW were reasonably normal earlier tonight, so whatever effects of the flare are obviously dissipated.
