Huh, Magic?

Has anyone noticed that since Friday that Magic 989's clock has been out of whack? The songs are playing in weird order and they are skipping commercial breaks with a LOT of dead air before they do play commercials. One would hope they wouldn't schedule the music this way.

Their music scheduling is very predictable, it's in order and scheduled so that certain eras of music are played at certain times every hour. The most noticeable oddity is that the 90s song which is usually the second song of the hour after the ID is being played after the ID, then the "new" song that is usually the first of the hour. When Lee Alexander was live yesterday things seemed to be running correctly.

What could be causing this? Maybe they changed it and want it this way, but it doesn't sound good. With the way they are having dead air and commercial problems, I would think they are having some mishap.

i agree. 102.5 has changed their music too. i hear fewer goofs recently on 102.5. i guess that the software that schedules the music is not the same as the computer that plays it so, dead air

I usually listen to 102.5 mostly on the weekends and I agree that they sound better. Wonder how Magic could have gotten their clock off so (I'm assuming that's what it is). It wouldn't be noticeable if they weren't so structured and predictable when it comes to decades of music. Skipping over breaks is not a good thing...obviously something went wrong at some point.

They're running John Tesh and it's well after midnight. Looks like they stopped it at 12am and went back to it around 12:15 if tune genie is correct. The whole station clock is still out of whack.

That's over-relying on a computer for ya.
