But if they wanted to extend his noncompete by doing that, wouldn't they have to keep him on the payroll at least part of that time (at least for any part of that time beyond 6 months or so)? Typical radio BS. They signed him to a new contract fully knowing they would fire him in weeks. Why? To extend his no-compete. Lot's of shady people in this business.
