Hummmmmm.......take a look at this

I just found this on the FCC call sign inquery about the possiblity of change in call signs for WJWB when it goes to CW in Jacksonville.......well if this shows something here get ready for Channel 17 to take on the calls WCWJ because Media General has requested these call signs but as for the TV station is not known yet but since they only have two CW affiliates and there is only one market in which they have a station located in named Jacksonville it makes pretty darn sure that the call sign WCWJ is about to appear in Jacksonville. For the proof go the FCC call sign database, click on query and type in WCWJWebsite: http://svartifoss2.fcc.gov/prod/callsign/prod/main.html

Lets just confirm that WCWJ is now the new call sign for Channel 17 in Jacksonville. The FCC call sign database is showing that WJWB is up for grabs.....I should had done a little more digging....well I guess the fun starts now.....

Yes, channel 17 will become WCWJ soon, but it won't be that much "fun": just changing the letterhead when the old stuff runs out, and bandaging a few ID's until the new network starts. The call letters aren't really marketed anyway. Nobody will want the WJWB calls anyway, unless they're in homage to John Wilkes Booth. There will be no WB network to name a station after.

UM,

not to rain on anybody's parade, but this is a RADIO board. Why in the world would anybody with a life on this radio board care about the local CW TV affiliate???
