Don't listen to XBM, but agree Cat Country had very good coverage. While I listening to Soft Rock 94.1 at times, I had to cringe when I heard WXBM over thier airwaves. Is THAT legal to never identify WMEZ call letters while their sister station(WXBM)was simulcasting? They did it for almost 2 days. Very bad management move. Or lack of engineering.

The wife and I turned it off and switched to 107.3 then to Cat Country all during the hurricane. That girl in the midday's voice on XBM drove us bonkers! I just cannot believe in this day and age that they would allow that. Not only did they sound terrible, WEAR TV has no clue on TV let alone radio. Sorry just my opionion. I would of been pissed had I worked for that company.

I never heard the Clear Channel stations in Mobile Legal ID the Cluster either... In the hours I listened, at the TOH they just did their big "this is the gulf coast storm alert network... lets go to channel 15" Heard an aweful lot of commericals though! I think when it comes to a life threatening situation like a hurricane, the FCC is NOT going to really grumbble if they missed their Legal ID's.

Generally the FCC overlooks the IDs. They also were somewhat
forgiving about signals, power, etc. for a short time after
the hurricane unless some other station complains. Eventually,
they do a pretty market check to see who is in compliance or
not. Try loosing a tower, then you got red tape from everywhere.
