Hurricane Earl vs. Boston/Cape area radio

Since it hasn't happened yet, this is what I'm predicting....

WKKL 90.7's doublewide trailer studio will be blown into the ocean
WGTX "Dunes 102" will actually be covered in a dune
WSMA 90.5 will be knocked off the air looooooooooooong term (Praise The Lord!)

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Nah. All that water might cool that antenna down and keep it from bursting into flames! ::) Weren't they running 18kW into an array meant for maybe 2?

Boston stations are booming into New Jersey tonight due to tropo. Managed to pick up Hot 87.7 again this tropo season along with the other Boston stations.

Who do you suppose is more upset, the meteorologists or Deval Patrick? They did promise Deval a disaster.

Name the only job where you can be completely wrong and keep it????? A Boston area meterologist....All hype and always wrong. Film at 11. I can't stand watching the news tonight, camera focused on some poor guys house about to get washed into the surf, that's the whole calamity....get real guys.

Not QUITE that bad. They were putting about 3kW into the older antenna system they had (A bunch of Scala Yagis). The antenna system has since been changed to a PSI panel antenna array which has about 2.5kW into the antenna.

Don't say that on the LeVeille broadcast, or he'll bust your chops! ;D
