Hurricane Sandy Coverage

How was it like in Boston Besides WBZ-AM doing the news over local effects of Sandy.

A bunch of hype, as far as I'm concerned. The worst of this storm is to the south and west.

Watched Ch. 5 (WCVB) for awhile. They were on all day and I think they were somewhat embarrassed after a few hours as nothing was really happening. It was windy and we got some rain.....WOW!!!

The sound portion of WCVB-5's coverage was simulcast on WXKS-1200 until 9 P.M. EDT (when WCVB's coverage ended), which is now (normally) an all-comedy format.

BTW, during Hurricane Irene last year, WXKS-AM likewise simulcast the sound portion of WCVB's broadcast (but back then, WXKS was a talk station).

I expect WBZ to get rid of the infomercials the night before a big storm like this. They didn't. We need a 24/7 news operation in this town.

He was talking about it and mentioned that the gray-haired guy couldn't stop staring at her. I don't watch these shows, so I didn't know who he meant and turned on the TV.

I don't think Khuner knows about Randy Price's background.

Around midnight (I don't know about earlier in the evening), 96.9 was carrying the NECN audio.


Which makes for great radio when they're largely talking about the video footage that the TV station is showing.

I noticed this morning that WBZ did not have any school closings at all. All they said was "for a complete list of cancellations go to our website." Did any other stations have school closings?
