Hyland to Head Back to NYC

Surely they wouldn'd replace her with Mortica -- don't know why I am wondering that, I don't watch anymore anyway.
 
If they're smart, they'll keep her off the air...
 
Why in the world would ANYONE want to move back to NYC?

I understand, yes, she has family and the huge pull of that, but think of the cost differential between DFW and NYC and her salary.
She got a LOT more bang for her buck in the housing market in the DFW area, no doubt about that.

Never really liked her that much, nor do I care for Justin Farmer either.

I know it won't happen, but I wouldn't mind seeing Debbie Denmon back in that spot. Local girl, done good.
 
Watch them put Macie in the seat (or standing on the green spot) next to Mr. Goober, move someone (not Debbie, which completely sucks) to the 5 p.m. chair while they look for another blowhard with immensely fake eyelashes. Would love to hear Mr. Shannon spout off on this one.

P.S. Morticia can stay at home for all I am concerned... for some reason, I am digging the "Jam Factor." IJS ;D
 
Jackie Hyland is a decent anchor but she's chosen to leave. When she first came, I didn't care for her or Justin Farmer but they kinda grew on me but due to my disgust of WFAA moving Debbie Denmon to the weekends I switched to "Good Day" where I still watch 80% of the time. Here's what WFAA will do regarding replacing Mrs. Hyland.

Most Likely:

1. They will move Alexa Conomos to the anchor chair with Justin Farmer and probably hire Rebecca Flores, who is absolutely GREAT, full time to the do the traffic.
2. They will move Shelly Slater (they seem to be in love with her) to the morning chair with Justin, Alexa and Greg.

My wish:

MOVE DEBBIE DENMON BACK TO THE WEEKDAY MORNING ANCHOR CHAIR WHERE SHE BELONGS.

Even though I am not in the broadcasting business at all, for Channel 8 to admit they made a mistake by getting rid of Debbie, it ain't going to
happen. They've paid too much in consulting fees to admit the consultant was wrong about Debbie.

I'm also not a huge Debbie Denmon fan, but she is a LOT friendlier "on-camera" than Jackie Hyland ever could be. And not that I don't like Jackie, their personalities are just completely different, on-camera.
 
Bring back Joanne Devito, at least she has some decent cred doing news in other markets.
 
Maybe Scott Sams would be interested............. ;D
 
Jackie Hyland is a terrific talent. Strong at the desk and reporting too. I for one am really sorry to see her go. She has made channel 8 in the mornings watchable again. Good luck Jackie.. Dallas will miss you!
