Hypersonic Radio No Longer on 101x?

Got off work at 10:30 tonight, and tuned into 101.5, and they played regular alternative music instead of their EDM show Hypersonic.

Are the off the FM?

I hope not.

I am going to start having to use the cassette player in my Walkman (I haven't from 3-2011 to 8-2011)

Or Pandora, which is very nice.

No wifi on Metro Local Bus, Express Bus B-Band Wifi equals Constant buffering :D

In San Antonio, my iPhone usually gets enough 3G to use Pandora. There have been times where it just doesn't wanna work, though. Or do you not have an iPhone / Android powered device? Oh I almost forgot about BlackBerry. LOL.

I have not heard that they are going off of 101x. There may have been a glitch or something and should be back next Sat. I will check with Jason Jenkins to make sure but I would not freak out just yet. In the mean time you can always download the show and listen online 24/7 at www.hypersonicradio.com

I could download the show but my biggest hard drive is reserved recording 98.9, I could use my other PC but I don't have a whole lot of space on it, yet. I am working on buying a terrabyte drive for under $50, along with another SATA cable.

But it will sound better if I recorded it off the Analog FM at 320 kps, I could use my DVD recorder in the bedroom and hook up audio cables to the receiver but I also watch and/or record TV at the same time.

Well I am saddened to report that 101X will not broadcast Hypersonic Radio anymore. Still trying to find out exactly why.

Most likely KROX is pulling something like what KVET has done. I tried Hypersonic Radio's website and didn't even find a live audio feed.

Wonder if this means some locals will start a dance station and get HyperSonic on?

Great yet another station that I will no longer be listening to. Saturday nights will never be the same. Just like Houston July 2001 and onwards, back to cassettes. Well I have a couple of more weeks before we get another crappy AAA format station courtesy of UT. Of course, hopefully Jammin will expand their playlist! My knob will be on 103.1, and 103.5 after KXBT is gone. But Bob doesn't do 9 @ 9 on the weekends, so it will be 103.1 or the tapes.

First Magic doing away with the 70s weekend,
Then Mega going away from the FMs
Followed by News that KXBT sold and will flip to crappy AAA.
If that didn't add insult to injury the suprise exit of Hypersonic Radio on 101x
What's next Jammin flipping to La Raza?
Oh I should have shut my mouth on that one, they just might do that.

I don't understand how much worse can Austin radio get?

Just do what I do, when I'm traveling with someone in and around Austin,
I will use my blue tooth headphones and listen to internet radio on my phone, or while I am at the gym I would do the same, or load some mp3's on my phone and listen. When I'm at home if I do listen to FM it's San antonio stations. When I'm driving to work I will listen to the bobby bones show just for entertainment.

Who knows what's going on, it just seems kinda odd that after 6 years and little head notice they would just pull it off the air. emmis has made a bad decision IMO.

As far as Hypersonic Radio you can listen 24/7 they have weekly specialty mix shows and a wide variety playlist. If you cant pick up the stream on their website www.hypersonicradio.com try using the TuneIn app on Android or iPhone and type in search Hypersonic Radio.

Saturday night will never be the same so you are going back to cassettes? Just use a computer to get Hypersonic online, less commercials and you can listen whenever you want.

I don't have $50 + data to use a smartphone. That's half a week of groceries these days!

I kind of like to hear it as it happens, and no cellphones allowed while working at the job! When I get off work I wait for the bus, and listen to music my AM/FM cassette Walkman. Plus doesn't most smartphones have a volume limiter with those head phones that plug into your inner ear? I'm old school. I would be the last person standing with an AM/FM Cassette Walkman!

Oh oh, back to tapes!!!! I started recording the Houston market when the San Antonio market was dull ;D 1991 to 1999. I think I will give the KHYS Kiss 98.5 at Action's Night Clubs a spin recorded May of 1997 on a Fuji DR-I cassette tape.
